Hello Lovelies!
Today I'm going to be showing you my favourite eye shadow palettes for the summer season. These palettes are a mix of drugstore to higher end palettes that I think have beautiful colours for the summer. I will include a mini review for each palette so you can get a feel of why I like them. The list will be in no particular order as the palettes are all quite different, anyways lets get on with the list!

1. Makeup Obsession custom palette - £14.00
Now this one might be cheating a bit because it is a custom palette. If you didn't know, Makeup Obsession, a sister brand of Revolution Beauty, make individual eye shadows, highlighters, blushers and contour powders which you can insert into an empty, refillable palette.
These shades work out as a bargain as they are sold at £2.00 per eye shadow and £3.00 per blush/contour/highlight and are often included as 3 for 2's or on sale for £1.00 each! The palette I chose was the large white obsession palette, normally priced at £5.00 however was on sale and in the 3 for 2 for £1.50! I purchased my shades on the 3 for 2 in the sale so it came to around £14.00 in total for 12 custom shades and the palette!

I hand chose these shades to create my perfect warm toned palette which to me, screams summer! The shades are a mix of golds, warm pinks and sunset themed shimmers. My idea behind the shades was to create a row of highlight shades, transition/deepening shades and then a row of pops of colour. I also wanted to make each column its own individual look so as you can see column one is light peachy pinks, column two is warm orange tones, column three is warmer reddish tones and column four is a more dramatic glam look.
Shades included:
Row 1: E105 White Out, H110 Flame, H103 Bronze, H106 Gold.
Row 2: E110 Scene, E146 Cinnamon, B102 Perfect, C102 Light.
Row 3: B106 Fancy, E154 Brooklyn, E151 Crimson, E130 New York.
Each shade is named and coded depending on what its purpose is (E=Eye shadow, H = Highlight and so on.) However, I use these colours interchangeably all over my face. The formula of these eye shadows are one of my favourites, the mattes are soft, blend-able and build-able, and the shimmers are opaque and metallic. Perfect!
To summarise, I love every shade in this palette...obviously... I picked them. However, the shades together make a lovely, wearable sunset eye look. Overall, I would recommend anyone to take a look at the individual eye shadows from Makeup Obsession as the formula is fantastic and it is fun to make your own custom palette.
2. Jeffree Star Cosmetics Jawbreaker palette - £54.00
The Jawbreaker palette by Jeffree Star Cosmetics is summer in a palette. Its bright, its colourful and its fun! The colours in the palette are a beautiful range of rainbow neon's, pastels and a few neutrals to balance everything out.

To summarise, the mattes are beautifully pigmented and the shimmers are gorgeous, however this palette may not be for you if you are fair skinned or have sensitive skin as it does cause staining. Also, some of the shades are a little bit tricky to work with so may not be good for beginners. However, you can't deny the colour scheme and packaging aren't the perfect summer combo!
3. Revolution Foil Frenzy Palette - £8.00
The Foil Frenzy palette by Revolution is perfection for Summer. The shades in the palette are so intensely, high shine and metallic they create the most gorgeous, light-reflective looks.

The formula within the palette is so unique, the foiled pigments are said to be poured into the pan, not pressed like regular eye shadows, creating a soft, cream like shadow for the eyes. Also, the colour scheme is gorgeous for summer with a range of colourful, yet wearable metallics. Although, the eye shadows are extremely soft and work best when applied with a finger rather than a brush. The palette also contains no matte shades so it can be inconvenient if you like matte eye shadow in your crease.
Personally, I love wearing these eye shadows as an easy, one shadow look by just using my finger and applying a shade all over the lid, especially the lighter metallics. For me, this is a perfect summer palette as it is bright, shiny and easy to apply.
4. I Heart Revolution Chocolate Cherry Palette - £8.99
I couldn't make a perfect Summer season list without including this palette. Actually, I don't think I could make any perfect list without including this palette. The I Heart Revolution Chocolate Cherry Palette may be my favourite eye shadow palette of all time. I think the colour scheme is stunning, soft yet glam, romantic yet edgy, girly yet wearable, perfection!

To summarise, I think this palette is perfect for summer because it includes pretty, pops of colour, metallic shimmers and your everyday basics. The formula is one of my favourites as it is build-able and easy to use, essential for lazy summer days! I'm also just a sucker for mauvey pink eye shadows!
5. Revolution Emily Edit - The Wants - £15.00
Another revolution palette... what a surprise!
This time the palette is a collaboration with youtuber Emily Noel. Emily is a beautiful person, inside and out, and before I even seen the palette I knew I had to buy something just to support her. However, when I seen the palette my excitement grew. The palette is a stunning, large mix, of many different colourful, yet wearable shades with beautiful pops of colour perfect for Summer!

(Please excuse the dint's and general messiness of the palette, this is one of my favourites and its a tad...used)
This palette has lots of different pops of colour ranging from greens, to pinks, to lavenders, to bright orange and red. It is simply beautiful and I think it would be a fantastic palette to take with you on holiday as it has every colour you could possibly need. The formula of the mattes are soft and build-able and the shimmers are soft and quite subtle. Emily herself said she wanted the shades to be easy for the every day person not just youtubers and makeup artists and I believe this palette is exactly that.
6. I Heart Revolution Cotton Candy Palette - £8.99
The Cotton Candy palette screams Spring and Summer to me as it is a beautiful mix of colourful shimmers with a few mattes thrown in to balance the palette.

Check out my full review of the Cotton Candy palette (here) to get my in depth opinions on this palette.
To summarise, the shimmers in this palette are stunning, if you love bright, pastel pops of metallic colour you will love this palette. However, if you like deeper, intense colours and lots of mattes I don't think this palette is for you. Personally, for a sunny Summers day I love to put a light matte in my crease and an easy pop of shimmery colour on my lid and this palette is perfect for that!
7. Morphe - The Jaclyn Hill Palette - £37.00
If we ignore all if the current controversies around Jaclyn Hill and her own cosmetics brand and just focus on this collaboration palette with Morphe, this palette is practically perfect and amazing for Summer.

The colours in this palette are a gorgeous mix of warm toned browns and oranges with some pops of purple, pink, blue, teal and green thrown in. I have taken this palette on holiday with me and it survived the trip and provided me with beautiful versatile looks. Although, I do believe some shades in this palette are too similar to one another and personally there are some shades I would just never use. Despite that, I believe this palette is beautiful for warm toned summer looks with some pretty pops of colour!
Final Thoughts.
Overall, I believe all of these palettes are gorgeous for the Summer Season. when I think of Summer I think warm tones, sunsets and bright pops and all of these palettes provide those things. If I had to recommend just one I would say create your own palette with the individual eye shadows from Makeup Obsession because you then know you will wear all of the shades and you can create whatever your impression of Summer is! If you would rather pick a ready made palette, I would say either the Jaclyn Hill palette or the Emily Edit as they offer the most versatile colour stories within them.
Thank you for reading!
